Golfers now able to use the Gostar GDS tee time booking

Gostar Direct has released the first phase release of what is believed to be the worlds first GDS (Global Distribution System). GDS systems have traditionally been associated with the distribution of package holidays, car rental reservations and hotel reservations information, to the travel industry, allowing travel shops and travel websites to make real time reservations and bookings, via a central global database. Completing a 9 month of development project, Gostar Direct are now pleased to announce it has rectified this short fall in data delivery by building the worlds first Golf Tee Time GDS system, providing golfers with the ability to book golf tee times around the world in real time. The Gostar Direct Golf GDS system will revolutionize the golf industry in terms of the way golf tee time reservations are made. There are a few websites that have worked independently to provide golf tee time bookings, but from the golf course owners perspective, and for the golfers, this has been fraught with danger. The current method of processing golf tee time reservations, even on a small scale has been for the website owners to be paid by the golfer. Golf course owners are then reliant on the website owners being honest and paying them. We have already seen reports on the Internet where golfers have turned up to play golf, in the knowledge that everything is paid for, only to find that the website owners have not paid the golf course. With the system we have implemented, the golfer pays the tee time fee's when they arrive to play golf, protecting the golfer and the golf course owners. The first advantage to the golf course operators, considering the current financial climate, is that the service is FREE. The whole Gostar Direct Golf GDS system works on a commission only basis. Unless a Tee time is reservation is requested and played, the golf course operators have nothing to pay. The second distinct advantage is that the golf course receives payment direct from the golfer when they arrive to play. This is a very important aspect of the system considering the financial climate, and because some of these websites offering golf tee time booking services are based in countries such as Spain, Dubai and Romania where the legal process to recover monies owed is very difficult. The golf course operator will also gain the advantage of being able to accept reservations from any website or travel agent attached to the Gostar Direct GDS system. We are already in talks with over 3000 golf related websites and more than 6000 travel agents around the world all of whom, providing they sign up, will process reservations for the golf courses. Golf Course Operators who have not already contacted us should email admin@gostarmedia.com We will then send them a brochure in PDF format which details how the system works and includes a application form for inclusion in to the system. Travel Agents, Golf Related Website, Travel Websites, Hotels etc that want to offer real time tee time booking services to their customers should also email us at the same address. They will then be assigned an account manager who will evaluate which solution for connection will be most suitable for them.
